Balder Vendt-Striim

Balder Vendt-Striim is co-founder of Vendt-Striim ApS and a certified Enneagram teacher with more than 20 years of experience. He works as a teacher, business consultant and coach. He is co-author of the book Brug dit Enneagram and co-developer of the Enneagram test 360indicator. Together with Mia he founded the company in 2003.

Balder leads the teaching and the daily contact with companies. He has taught leaders, teams and employees across the Nordics and is known for making the Enneagram concrete and useful from day one: less friction, better communication and stronger results.

Background

Balder Vendt-Striim graduated in 2003 and founded Vendt-Striim ApS the same year together with Mia. The first corporate courses in the Enneagram were held during the company's first year, and that made them some of the first in the Nordic region to put business at the centre of the work with the Enneagram. Where most people at the time used the Enneagram for therapy, spirituality or purely personal development, the starting point here has from the very beginning been leaders, teams and employees in an ordinary working day.

Since then he has taught in Denmark, Norway and Sweden — in-house at companies, on open courses and as a speaker. Alongside the teaching he has worked for more than five years as a headhunter in executive search, and he draws on that experience when he writes and teaches about how the Enneagram is used properly in recruitment — and where it does not belong. How Balder teaches

The starting point is that the Enneagram must be usable from day one. The teaching therefore begins in the participants' own everyday working life: the situations where communication goes wrong, where decisions drag on, or where two capable colleagues grow tired of one another without quite being able to say why. The types come in as the explanation for the pattern — not as an exercise for its own sake.

The formats range from an introductory day, through theme modules in sales, customer service and conflict management, to a leadership add-on and longer in-house programmes. Shorter talks are used when a whole department or audience needs to settle on a shared language in a few hours. See the in-house programmes or read about the talks.

Balder Vendt-Striim is a certified Enneagram Practitioner, Enneagram Master and Enneagram Trainer, as well as a certified Enneagram Coach. Mia Vendt-Striim holds the same certifications.

Brug dit Enneagram. The book was first published by Schultz in 2007 and is today published by Forlaget Striim. It is available in its fourth edition from 2014, and the most recent print run is 4,000 copies. Read about the book.
